University students and staff were informed via email on 14 January, that a fire had broken out in the University’s New Technology Building on the North Haugh. A little over an hour after the original email, Vice-Principal Communications Niall Scott followed up to announce that it was “now under control.” Scott said that “we do not yet know the cause of the fire.” A Fire Brigade, consisting of firefighters from St Andrews, Cupar, and Tayport are currently at the scene, havin

Men used to go to war. Now they fight for promotion to the top flight of the St Andrews Sunday League. I’d like to say there are bigger days in my calendar than the final matchday of the season, but there really aren’t. With DLL, Real Sosobad and the imperious BLFC all competing for the automatic promotion and play-off spots, it was time to see who would rise above the rest.
