On 4 November, 2025, University of St Andrews graduate Jasmine Mitchell won the sixteenth series of the Great British Bake Off  following ten weeks of competition. Mitchell ultimately beat out fellow finalists Aaron Mountford-Myles and Tom Arden. Born and raised in Edinburgh, Mitchell graduated from the University in 2024 with a BSc in Medicine.
