Men used to go to war. Now they fight for promotion to the top flight of the St Andrews Sunday League. I’d like to say there are bigger days in my calendar than the final matchday of the season, but there really aren’t. With DLL, Real Sosobad and the imperious BLFC all competing for the automatic promotion and play-off spots, it was time to see who would rise above the rest.

Movember has rolled around again, bringing with it an increase in both charitable acts and questionable facial hair. There are always some bold challenges, but one stands out this year. I spoke to Cian O’Regan, who plans to run 400km this month, all in the name of men’s mental health.

With over 50 clubs and 100 competitive teams to choose from, St Andrews offers just about every sport you can think of. From cheerleading to clay pigeon shooting, parkour to polo, there are plenty of lesser-known sports that deserve some attention. To find out about some of the more obscure clubs that the university has to offer, I spoke to Charlie Glover and Elsa Davies, who play Ultimate Frisbee and Korfball, respectively.
